Welcome to the Winter Club of Indianapolis

In October 1940, a group of ice skating enthusiasts organized the “Free Skating Club” in the year-old Coliseum at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Club members soon voted to change the name to “The Winter Club of Indianapolis.” A member of the U.S. Figure Skating Association, Winter Club has been home to generations of figure skating champions and recreational skaters. Winter Club members meet for free skating sessions Tuesdays 5:30-7pm, Thursdays 6-7:30pm and Sundays 4:45-6:15pm. Winter Club Learn to Skate, Saturdays 11:30-1pm, offers classes for all ages and abilities in skating and hockey.
